What are retainers?
After treatment, teeth naturally try to drift back. A retainer holds them in place while the bone and gums settle, and long term. A fixed retainer is a thin wire bonded behind the front teeth; a removable clear retainer is a thin transparent tray; a removable wire retainer combines a wire with an acrylic plate.
