What Is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a clear aligner system. After an assessment with photos and a scan or impressions of your teeth, a series of custom aligners is made, each moving your teeth a small step. You wear each set for about one to two weeks, for 20–22 hours a day, taking them out only to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to brush. Because treatment is planned in advance, you can see how your teeth are expected to move before you start.

What is Invisalign®?
A clear aligner treatment that straightens teeth using a series of removable, custom-made trays. Each set moves your teeth slightly until they reach the planned position.
How long does Invisalign® take?
Many cases take about 6 to 18 months. Simple cases can be shorter and complex ones longer. Dr Deepthi gives you an estimate after your assessment.
How many hours a day do I wear the aligners?
About 20–22 hours a day. Take them out to eat, to drink anything except water, and to brush.
Does Invisalign® hurt?
Most people feel pressure or tightness for a day or two after starting a new set. This is normal and usually settles quickly.
Is Invisalign® better than braces?
Neither is better for everyone. Aligners are less visible and removable; braces can suit more complex tooth movements and do not rely on wearing time. Your orthodontist recommends the option that fits your teeth and bite.
Will I need a retainer afterwards?
Yes. Teeth can drift back after treatment, so a retainer is needed to hold the result.
